Product Care
Welcome to our product care guide! Proper care and maintenance will help ensure the longevity and beauty of your furniture and homeware. Follow these guidelines to keep your items in excellent condition for years to come.
Upholstery
- To keep your upholstery looking its best, follow these fabric care tips:
- Remove spills promptly by gently dabbing them with a damp cloth, then wipe dry. Avoid rubbing, as it can spread the stain.
- Use table mats, trays, and coasters to protect your upholstery from spills and scratches.
- Please note that our fabric is not scotch guarded. For selected fabrics, occasional dry cleaning is recommended. Do not attempt to wash them at home.
- Take special care with faux-leather upholstery, as once scratched or damaged, it cannot be reversed. Keep sharp objects away from it to avoid any accidents.
- Woven fabric can be torn or damaged, and such issues cannot be reversed. Keep scissors and other sharp objects away from your upholstery to prevent accidental damage.
Furniture Care
Follow these general care tips to keep your furniture in great shape:
- If you notice your chair or table feels slightly wobbly, it may be due to an uneven floor surface. Try placing it elsewhere to check for stability.
- Keep your furniture away from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, and high humidity, as they can cause damage over time.
- During the first extreme winter, you may observe a slight color variation in your furniture. Similarly, severe heat or humidity can result in tiny gaps in corners. These occurrences are rare, temporary, and usually resolve on their own.
- While we have seen very few termite cases in our teak furniture (less than 0.1%), it's essential to take immediate action if you notice any signs of termites. Inject an anti-termite chemical or contact a trusted local treatment service.
- Avoid dragging or pushing your furniture, as this can cause instability. Always lift and shift it to prevent any damage.
- Do not rock or stand on chairs, as it can compromise their stability and lead to accidents.
Corian® Solid Surface
Corian® Solid Surface countertops are beautiful and durable. Follow these care instructions to maintain their pristine condition:
- Wipe up spills promptly with a damp microfiber cloth and a standard household kitchen spray. This should remove most stains.
- For general cleaning, use warm soapy water, ammonia-based household cleaner, or a dedicated countertop cleaner. Avoid using window cleaners, as they can leave a waxy build-up that dulls the surface. Always clean using a circular motion.
- To prevent film build-up, ensure you completely dry the countertop after spills and cleaning. Water left to dry on the surface can create a dull, blotchy appearance.
- Some colors of Corian® Solid Surface may require more frequent cleaning to maintain a uniform finish. Darker colors usually need extra attention. With proper care, your countertops will maintain their sheen. Light scratches may be more visible on dark colors, but restoring them to their original glory is a straightforward process.
Metallic Parts, Handles, or Faux Leather
Keep these tips in mind to care for metallic parts, handles, or faux leather elements:
- Protect them from extreme temperatures, high humidity, and spills of any kind.
- Clean using a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust or stains gently.
Homeware Care
Here are some care instructions for specific homeware items:
Glass
Glass and mirrors are prone to scratching. To keep them in optimal condition:
- Keep them away from children, sharp objects, and jolts that may cause damage.
- Note that we do not use toughened glass, so extra care should be taken around children and pets.
Paintings
If you own a painting, follow these recommendations to preserve its beauty:
- Wipe the painting with a dry cloth once a month to remove settled dust. Do not use any alcohol or chemicals, as the paintings are coated with a protective film.
Wooden Homewares
To maintain the shine and smoothness of your wooden homewares:
- Our wooden homewares come coated with food-grade oil and are scratch-resistant. However, occasional oiling or waxing can help preserve their appearance.
By following these care instructions, you can ensure that your furniture and homeware continue to bring joy and elegance to your space. If you have any specific questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out to our customer support team.
